Free advice from Disability Employment Advisors and Work Psychologists, and funding through Access to Work for support for employees experiencing mental health issues. See the ’phone book for the number of your nearest office.

Remploy - Workplace Mental Health Support Service

Run in partnership with Access to Work this service is 100% funded by Government and designed to address workplace barriers relating to mental ill health,in order to help people retain their job.

The Clear Company

Clear offers a range of services including ClearKit which combines the experience of thought leaders and employer case studies with relevant and helpful tips and ‘must do’ check lists which help dispel the myths that prevent many employers from giving people with health issues an opportunity to join their teams. Clear also helps organisations become ClearAssured to state their commitment to identifying and removing barriers. Mental Health Teams are located across the UK and comprise Community Psychiatric Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Social Workers and other specialist staff - listed under NHS in The ‘Phone Book or contactable through GP surgeries. There are also Improving Access to Psychological Therapy (IAPT) teams across the UK and many of these have Employment Support Coordinators available.

Employment Assistance Programmes (EAPs) 

Overseen by the UK Employee Assistance Professionals Association (EAPA), EAPs are applicable to any size of business but are more commonly associated with large employers (250 employees and above). 

Good Work & Mental Well-being Lab

Fresh Thinking Labs and Mindful Employer are delighted to launch the Good Work and Mental Well-Being Lab in association with E.ON and Transport for London.

The Lab is based on a small, closed network of companies and public sector employers committed to exploring and developing future-focused workplaces that generate positive mental health and well-being for all through healthy and engaging work. The Lab provides:

1. Quarterly meetings hosted by member companies each providing an opportunity to share achievements and current challenges
2. Build active relationships with your peers in other member organisations.
3. Be part of an online community with access to a wider international network.
4. Expert guidance relating to evidence-based practice.
