Nearly 100 signatories have also signed up for MINDFUL EMPLOYER Plus providing confidential helplines for staff and managers. MINDFUL EMPLOYER Plus is one of a number of exclusive offers and discounts for Charter signatories.

  Sharing Good Practice

Shropshire based Charter signatory, CRB Disclosure Services Ltd employs 16 people and has the following good practice in place:

  • Mindful Employer Plus service Staff Helpline & Managerial Adviceline
  • Bi-monthly, every team member has a one on one 'chat' session with their line manager or a preferred colleague.
  • Everyone is set up to work flexibly, either at home or in our office setting.
  • And they make it possible for all colleagues to have a good 'Work/Life' balance

This supportive approach was especially beneficial to one member of staff as Managing Director, Caroline Clark explains, ‘A colleague had a close family member bereavement. We gave practical support with compassionate leave prior to and after their family member died. We also signposted to different support services available and reinforced our availability at any time to chat to. We also adjusted their duties to match their desire to have less customer facing contact for a while.’

  Mental Health Awareness Training

We’ve seen an increase in the number of organisations requesting workshops for their managers and staff and are currently in the process of increasing the number of people who facilitate these. Workshops can be delivered on site and both content and length can be made to suit your requirements. There’s more information about our standard workshops at
