Local Employer Networks
These networks provide an informal, relaxed setting in which to meet colleagues from other employers to discuss issues of common concern. The agenda is set by the group and generally focus on topics connected to recruiting and retaining staff who experience mental ill health. Any employer is welcome to attend.
Devon 13 March, Exeter
Our speaker will be Sarah Prince, who is a counsellor and sleep coach. Sarah writes ‘Insomnia and Sleep Disturbance can affect us for both brief and longer periods in our lives. Many distinct elements contribute to poor sleep including environment, behaviours and thoughts. Cognitive Behaviour Therapy for Insomnia (CBTi) is recommended by NICE for reducing insomnia and sleep disturbance. How we unwind from work, work related stress, shift patterns and ruminating on work (and life) intrudes into sleep and can have a significant impact on our wellbeing. This talk will look at why good sleep is so important, explore what contributes to poor sleep, look at ideas to improving sleep, how to promote good sleep for your colleagues and teams as part of a wellbeing strategy and consider how to make real and lasting changes.’ For more information, please contact us on 01392 677064.
